Zach Tait - January 31, 2008
Zach Tait is an eighteen-year-old grade 12 student from Brantford Collegiate Institute who participates in several sports including soccer, football, basketball, volleyball, softball, and badminton.
He has been playing house league soccer since he was four years old and started playing rep at the age of eight. Zach played for the several teams the Burford Mustangs, Hamilton Sparta, London Dynamite and Cambridge Olympia.
Zach has received several individual and team awards over the years including the Gordon Campblee Sportsman Award in 1999; the Walsh Athletic Award in 2000/01; the 2001 Brant County Softball Championships at Ryerson Public School; the 2002/03 Male Phys Ed Award; the 2003 Brant County Badminton Doubles Championships with partner Daryl Borden; the 2003/04 Midget Boys Basketball MVP; and the 2005 BCI Junior Boys Basketball silver medal at CWOSSA.
He helped his team win the 2006 BCI Indoor Soccer Classic Championships; he won the 2006/07 Senior Boys Basketball Most Improved Player award; the 2007 Brant County Football Championship (his position was kicker); the 2007 Brant County Senior Boys Soccer Championships winning a silver medal at CWOSSA, and played soccer for Hamilton at the CanUsa games from 2003 to 2005.
Zach won many awards for track and field in the 800m and 1500m races in
elementary school and helped ref many volleyball, basketball, and baseball games.
Zach plans to continue his education by attending university and hopes to play varsity football.
