Tyler Jones-St. Amand - May 7, 2009
Tyler Jones-St. Amand is a nine-year-old grade 4 student from Greenbrier Public School who participates in hockey, soccer, basketball, volleyball, cross-country and golf.
Tyler has been involved in hockey and soccer since the age of four and for the past two seasons has been a member of a Brantford Inter-City rep soccer team. He will be playing on a hockey tournament team from Cambridge this spring and during the summer he will play both soccer and golf.
Tyler plays for the Brantford 99ers Minor Atom A team, and has been captain of his team for the past two seasons. He was MVP at the 2008 Wayne Gretzky International tournament; MVP at the Guelph Power Play tournament and helped his team win the London Oakridge tournament this season.
This year he had the opportunity to try out for several school teams competing against students from grades 4, 5, 6 and was chosen for the soccer, volleyball, and cross country teams. He helped the junior cross-country team place 3rd at the Brant County meet.
Tyler is a member of his school’s choir and is always willing to lend a hand whenever someone needs help.
He is a dedicated and hardworking A student who hopes to make the honor roll throughout school. He also wants to remain involved in soccer and golf, play hockey at a high level and tryout for as many school teams as possible.
Congratulations Tyler and good luck!
