Tyler Gagne - May 18, 2006
Tyler Gagne is a nine-year-old grade 3 student at Agnes G. Hodge Public School who has had an exceptional year playing hockey scoring over 100 goals and numerous assists this season.
Tyler is a member of the Brantford 99ers Major Novice MD team and plays for the Elite AAA Regional Express Gold hockey team. In 2004 and 2005 he won MVP awards at the Wayne Gretzky International hockey tournament, and received two Player of the Game awards at a tournament in Windsor. In 2006 Tyler won the Player of the Game award at a London tournament and won the Alliance hockey skills competition in two events.
Tyler's positive attitude and willingness to help others involved in sports was recognized when he was awarded the 2005 Outstanding Athlete in grade 2.
Tyler played house league soccer last year and is looking forward to trying baseball this summer. He also plans to try out for his school's track & field, basketball and football teams when he enters grade 4 this fall.
Tyler is an excellent student who works very hard to maintain good grades in school and enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
