Taylor Cook - March 13, 2008
Taylor Cook is a thirteen-year-old grade 8 student from Prince Charles Public School who is actively involved in hockey, volleyball, basketball, swimming, badminton and soccer.
Taylor is a goalie for the Brantford Ice Cats Bantam A team and has been playing hockey for 9 years; she has been swimming for 7 years and has been a member of her school’s volleyball team for 3 years, and her school’s soccer and basketball teams for 2 years.
Taylor helped her hockey team win several awards; the 2002 Jr. House League Championships, the 2006 Senior House League Championships, the 2006 Sweetheart Tournament silver medalist, the 2006 Walter Gretzky Girls Hockey Tournament silver medalist, and the 2006 Peterborough Girls Tournament Champions.
She has also received several personal awards; the 2005/06/07 Walter Gretzky Girls Hockey Tournament MVP, the 2006 Cambridge Tournament MVP, the 2007 Oshawa Tournament MVP and a Team MVP award in 2005 and 2006.
Taylor is actively involved in music, she takes voice and piano lessons and participates in the Brantford Kiwanis Festival every year.
She is a hardworking student who receives all A’s and B’s and is a member of her school’s student council and yearbook committee.
In the future Taylor would like to go to university and study marine biology or teach music and pursue a career as a professional hockey goalie.
