Stephane Dubois is a recent graduate of St. John’s College who played a variety of sports including competitive hockey, soccer, baseball, football, basketball and golf.
He was a member of many hockey teams over the years including the BMHA Peewee team that played in the 2004 Ontario Championships and finished third in the province.
At high school Stephane played volleyball and basketball and his basketball team won BCSSA twice and CWOSSA once.
He has been a mainstay of the St John's golf team that won BCSSA the last 3 years, won CWOSSA in 2007 and 2008 and he won the BCSSA golf title the last 2 years.
This summer Stephane has had several particularly satisfying golfing results. He started with a 2nd place finish at an American Junior Golf Association tournament in Rochester, he followed with a 2nd place finish at the US Junior qualifier in Kentucky and as a result that allowed him to play the US Junior Championship for a second consecutive year.
In July, he had back-to-back strong finishes at the Ontario Junior Championships placing 4th overall, and then a 24th place finish at the Ontario Men's Amateur Championship. Tournament results in the past year have allowed him to improve his Junior ranking to 11th nationally and amongst the top 100 internationally for his age group.
Stephane was involved in a mission trip to Mississippi last year to aid residents rebuilding in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina. He is a frequent volunteer with an organization that collects and transports medical supplies to under-developed countries, and is involved in minor sports as a coach and official.
He made the honour roll all four years attending St. John’s and graduated as an Ontario Scholar with an average in the mid 80’s. Stephane plans to continue his education in the United States next year while playing division 1 collegiate golf.
Congratulations Stephane and good luck.
