Sean Frankland - June 15, 2006
Sean Frankland is a sixteen-year-old grade 10 student from St. Johns College who excels at lacrosse and hockey. Sean has been playing lacrosse for nine years, hockey for twelve years, and field lacrosse for two years.
He is a member of the Hamilton Bengals Jr. B Lacrosse team, the Burlington Chiefs Field Lacrosse team and the Brantford Minor Midget AAA hockey team. In grade nine he was a member of his high school's hockey team that won the BCSSA Championships.
Sean won a gold medal for wrestling at the elementary school City Championships, he was a member of the Brantford Posse Minor Lacrosse team that were finalists at the 2003 Provincial Championships where he was leading scorer of that tournament, and he was a member of the Burlington Chiefs team that participated in the 2004/05 Field Lacrosse Provincial Championships.
He was a member of the Brantford 99ers hockey team that won the Gretzky hockey tournament championships in 2000/01, he helped his team win the Alliance Hockey Championships in 2001, and was part of the team that won the Minor Hockey Championships in 2002/03, 2003/04, 2005/06, and played in the OHL Cup earlier this year.
Over the years Sean has received numerous MVP awards for both hockey and lacrosse and has been the assistant captain of the Brantford AAA hockey team for the past 2 years. Sean is currently the only player born in 1990 who is playing for the Hamilton Bengals Jr. B Lacrosse Club.
Sean has completed over 40 hours of volunteer work with Brantford Minor hockey; he maintains an 80% average and in the future hopes to earn a lacrosse scholarship.
