Patryk Misik - May 28, 2009
Patryk Misik is a fourteen year old grade 9 student from St. John’s College who has been actively involved in soccer since he was seven; karate for five years, and hockey for 4 years.
He was a member of the BICS rep soccer team U11 to U14; he was team captain of the Hamilton district soccer team in 2006; and was part of the Peel Halton regional soccer team in 2007 and 2008.
Patryk travelled to Holland with the Sigma Soccer Academy as team captain competing against Dutch professional youth academies; he currently plays for the Toronto LYNX Juniors (ranked #4 in North America) who compete in the Super Y League in the United States, and participate in several college soccer showcases each year.
He will be travelling to Brazil in August with the KD Soccer Academy to train and compete against Brazilian Youth Teams and is a member of the SJC soccer and cross-country teams.
Patryk has received several individual and team awards including a Black Belt in 2007; he was the D & D United Martial Arts Student of the Year in 2003; he won the BICS Players Choice Award in 2005; his BICS U12 team won the 2006 League Cup Championships; in 2006 they won the SRSL U12 Division 2 Championships; and in 2007 they won the U13 Premier Championships.
Patryk helped the SCJ cross country team finish 1st at BCSSAA, they placed 5th at CWOSSA and were 3rd in WCSSAA.
He is a dedicated and hardworking student who graduated grade 8 as the Top Academic Male; he received the Knights of Columbus award, the Catholic Leadership award and has a 92% average in grade 9. In the future he hopes to attend University on a soccer scholarship.
