Makayla Bergasse - February 25, 2010
Makayla Bergasse is an eleven year old grade six student from Sainte Marguerite-Bourgeoys School who participates in soccer and curling. She has been involved in soccer for 8 years and curling for 1 year.
She is a member of the Brantford Intercity Soccer Club, the Brant Curling Club and also participates in basketball and soccer at her school. Her soccer coach suggested that she try out for the Hamilton district team and she was successful.
Makayla has won several awards including three trophies, one in 2003 and two in 2007. She also won four medals, one in 2004, one in 2005, one in 2006 and one in 2009
She is actively involved at her school participating in class trips, school trips, a variety of games and extra activities for speaking French.
Makayla is a dedicated and hardworking student who maintains A’s and B’s. In the future she hopes to continue her education by attending university and become a professional sports player or cartoonist.
