Lucas Makarchuk - March 12, 2009
Lucas Makarchuk is an eighteen-year-old graduate of Brantford Collegiate Institute who has been involved in rugby for 5 years and football for 1 year.
He was a member of the BCI rugby team that won a gold medal at BCSSA, CWOSSA and OFSSA in 2008. He also helped the BCI football team win a silver medal at CWOSSA in 2008.
In 2005 he received the Dedication Award for rugby in grade 9. Lucas is president of his school’s student council and has been actively involved in school fundraisers and volunteered at football, basketball and volleyball games over the years.
Lucas is a dedicated and hardworking student who received an 88% average last semester. He plans to attend university to continue his education and pursue a career as a physiotherapist. He also hopes to play on the varsity rugby team and get involved in other non-competitive sports.
