Lucas Crosby - December 16, 2004
Lucas Crosby has been playing his favourite sport softball, since he was five years old, and isn't planning on retiring any time soon.
He plays softball in a county league, and has enjoyed competing at various levels over the past ten years. Lucas participates in other sports including basketball, volleyball and indoor ball hockey.
Lucas has been on school teams for basketball and volleyball since elementary school, and is still involved with both sports at Paris District High School. In 2003, Lucas received the Coach's Award for his team spirit and participation on his school's basketball team.
Lucas has also been involved in a ball hockey league for the past two years, and plays once a week. In his spare time he referees at the Catholic Youth Organization basketball games in Princeton, and was a group leader at a bible camp.
Academics are very important to Lucas, and this ambitious 15-year-old maintains an 89 per cent average taking courses in Chemistry, Funtions and Relations, French, and Physical Education. He finished grade 10 with a 93 per cent average, and was rewarded with two Math awards and a French award.
Lucas has a bright future ahead of him and plans to pursue a career in medicine; he also wants to continue his involvement in sports and help his teams become the best they can be.
Congratulations Lucas, and good luck! |
