Lisa Minutillo - April 5, 2007
Lisa Minutillo is a fifteen-year-old grade 10 student from North Park Collegiate who participates in basketball, soccer, volleyball and track and field. She has been a member of the CYO basketball travel teams for 5 years and Briers basketball travel teams for two years.
In 2006/07 she helped the North Park senior girls basketball team finish 2nd at BCSAA and were semi-finalists at CWOSSA. In 2005/2006 her junior girls basketball team were finalists at BCSAA and she is currently captain of the Briers major midget girls AAA basketball team.
Lisa represented Brant County and North Park Collegiate in the 2006 Hamilton Spectator Basketball All-Star Classic at Cathedral School; she received several junior girls high school basketball MVP awards in 2005/ 2006; she won various MVP awards for Briers and CYO basketball travel teams over the past 7 years, and won the 2005/2006 Trojan Athletic Award for participation in four school sports.
She has been a member of the North Park volleyball team for the past 2 years; she helped the midget girls team win the BCSAA Championships in 2005/2006 and the junior girls team win the BCSAA Championships in 2006/07 and they were participants at CWOSSA.
Lisa has been involved in soccer for 11 years; she played varsity girl’s soccer in 2005/06 and is currently trying out for the 2006/07 varsity girls team.
In grade 9 she helped her midget girls 400m relay team finish in 2nd place at BCSAA and they participated at CWOSSA.
Lisa is an active member of the Trojan Athletic Committee, she has been a counselor at the North Park basketball summer camp for the past 2 years, she coached the CYO novice girls house league team for 2 years and has been the assistant coach of the CYO novice girls travel team for 2 years.
She was an honor roll student in grade 9 and in the 1st semester this year has a 91% average. Lisa plans to continue her education at university studying sports medicine and hopes to play university basketball.
Lisa would like to thank all her high school and community coaches for their knowledge, commitment and on going support throughout her athletic career.
