Liam MacNeil - March 4, 2010
Liam MacNeil is a fourteen-year-old grade 9 student from Brantford Collegiate Institute who has been involved in a variety of sports over the years including basketball for nine years, soccer for ten years, and bowling for ten years.
In 2008 and 2009 Liam was the back to back National Champion for bowling, traveling to Edmonton and Oshawa for the events.
He was the 2006 MVP of his CYO basketball team, he was a member of the 1st place CYO basketball team in 2007 and was a member of the 2nd place CYO basketball team the following year in 2008.
In 2008/2009 Liam was the Athlete of the Year at St. Jean De BreBeuf Elementary School and received 1st and 2nd place awards at numerous karate tournaments. He has put karate on hold to focus on other important events.
Liam also enjoys snowboarding, tennis, football, beach volleyball, fishing, swimming, wakeboarding, and skim boarding.
He was the 2007, 2008, 2009 Community Builder and is planning on trying out for the BCI soccer team this coming year.
Liam is a dedicated and hardworking student who maintains an 80% average and plans to pursue his education at the university level and hopes to receive scholarships for sports.
