Kaitlyn Dawson - January 17, 2008
Kaitlyn Dawson is a sixteen-year-old grade 11 student from St. John’s College who is actively involved in soccer and basketball.
Kaitlyn has been playing soccer since she was 5 years old and has been a member of Brantford Intercity Soccer rep team since she was 14 playing on the Under 15 team. She is currently playing for the BICS Under 18 team and is a member of her school’s soccer team that won the BCSSAA Championships in 2006 & 2007 and in 2007 won CWOSSA and moved on to OFSAA.
She has been involved in CYO basketball since she was 7 years old playing rep. from the age of 8 until she was 14. She is a member of her school’s basketball team that won the BCSSAA Championships in 2005, 2006 & 2007. In grade 10 her school’s basketball team won CWOSSA and this year they went all the way to OFSAA and lost in the quarterfinals.
Kaitlyn has received several individual awards over the past few years including pentathlete in 2004 & 2005, Female Athletic award in 2005 and was the Junior MVP Girls Basketball award winner in 2005/06 and again in 2006/07.
She is a hardworking and dedicated student who has a 75-80% average this semester. Kaitlyn’s goal is to become a gym teacher and play soccer at University.
