Josh Fabe - May 29, 2008
Josh Fabe is a fifteen year old grade 10 student from Paris District High School who participates in basketball, soccer, volleyball, tennis, football, cross country, track and field and snowboarding.
Josh has been actively involved in basketball for 4 years, soccer for 11 years, volleyball for 2 years, tennis for 3 years, football for 4 years, cross country for 1 year, track and field for 6 years and snowboarding for 3 years.
He participates in rep. basketball with the Ancaster Magic Basketball Club, he played league soccer in Paris, recreational tennis in St. George, and football for the Brantford Bisons and the Hamilton Wentworth Panthers. Josh is actively involved in high school sports playing basketball, soccer, volleyball and tennis.
Josh has received several team and individual awards including the 2003 Brantford Bisons Football “Rookie of the Year” award; the 2006 Bisons Football “Offensive MVP” award; the 2006/07 Paris High School Volleyball “Coaches Choice” award; the 2007 Hillfield Strathallan basketball skills camp MVP; the 2007 Ontario Basketball tournament runner-up award playing with the Paris Soccer Club; as well as seven other 2nd place basketball tournaments over the past 3 years, playing with the Ancaster Magic.
Josh is actively involved with his school’s Eco-Club, he helps referee for the St. George Mini Soccer League during the summer; he coaches an U11 CYO basketball team during the winter, and is coaching an U14 Soccer team in Paris this summer.
Josh is a dedicated and hardworking student who has a 91% average this semester and in grade 9 was on his school’s honor roll. He is an avid musician who has been taking guitar lessons for 6 years and piano for 8 years.
In the future Josh plans to continue his education at university or college and play varsity basketball. He would like to pursue a career in computer programming or computer engineering.
