Heather McLaren - November 7, 2000
This week's "Athlete of the Week" is Heather McLaren an OAC student from Paris District High School. She recently participated at OFSSA in cross country and was last year's Brant County Champion in the senior girls 1500 and 3000 meters. Heather is also a member of the senior girls basketball team and recently won the headmasters trophy. Her inspiration comes from her father Grant an Olympian in 1972 and 1976 who ran in the 5000 meters. |
