Hannah Burleigh - June 7, 2007
Hannah Burleigh is a fifteen-year-old grade 10 student attending Paris District High School who has been actively involved in the sport of wrestling for the past two years and is a member of her school’s basketball and soccer teams.
Hannah finished in 1 st place at the 2005/06 County Wrestling Championships (BCSSAA), she was 1st at Regionals, 2 nd at CWOSSA, she placed 2nd at the Provincials, and finished in 10th place at OFSAA.
In 2006/07 Hannah finished in 1st place at BCSSAA, she was 1st at Regionals, 1st at CWOSSA and placed 8th at OFSAA.
Hannah has been actively involved in the Briers Basketball League for 6 years and for the past 10 years has played soccer with the Paris Soccer League. She plays music for figure skaters at the St. George Arena from September to April and enjoyed volunteering at the Brantford Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
She is a dedicated and hardworking student who was on the grade 9 honor roll and is currently maintaining high marks in grade 10.
Hannah hopes to attend either university or college in the future and plans on staying active and healthy so she can get to the top 6 at OFSAA before graduating from high school.
