Hailey Milligan - January 20, 2005
Hailey Milligan has been involved in her favourite sport basketball for the past six years, and has been an all-star player and captain of her high school team for the past two years.
Hailey has enjoyed playing in the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO), on both rep and house league teams. In 2003 Hailey started at Assumption College and became captain of the junior girls team, she helped her team finish with an undefeated season in Brant County, and then on to become champions at CWOSSA and BCSSA.
In 2004 Hailey became captain of her school's senior girls basketball team, and helped them win the CWOSSA and BCSSA championships. She was recipient of the 'Raptors Fair Play Award' presented to her at an OFSSA tournament during the 2004 season. Hailey was thrilled when she was chosen to be part of the 2004 Brant County all-star team, and was the highest over-all scorer.
Her love of sports doesn't end with basketball; she has been involved in volleyball for five years, badminton for three years and rugby for one season. In 2003 she participated at the BCSSA track and field meet where she competed in javelin, shot put and high jump. She first participated in track and field at elementary school and has competed at the county level every year since grade six.
Hailey still finds time to volunteer with CYO, keeping score, coaching younger players and she also helps coach her school's midget and junior girls basketball teams.
Hailey is a dedicated student who currently has an 82 per cent average, and is working hard to maintain these high marks in order to continue her education at university. She is very interested in playing sports at the university level and has yet to decide what her major will be, or which university she will attend in the future.
Congratulations Hailey, and good luck! |
