DOWNTOWN REVITALIZATION

Welcome to the City of Brantford’s Downtown Revitalization website.

Brantford’s City Council and its citizens are committed to DOWNTOWN REVITALIZATION.

In 2001, a community-based consultation, on the future of the downtown, was held representing a cross section of the community. The result was a multi-faceted implementation plan developed for the downtown core, approved in 2002.

Since 2002, the City of Brantford has experienced $20 million of revitalization as a result of incentives provided to the private sector and to the establishment of Laurier Brantford, a joint partnership campus of Wilfrid Laurier University, Nipissing University and Mohawk College.
