Danielle Sullivan - December 30, 2004
Danielle Sullivan has been tearing up basketball courts for 13 years and has no intention of hanging up her sneakers anytime soon.
Currently in grade 12, this honour role student is planning on playing her favourite sport for as many years as she's in school. Danielle has won the basketball BCSSA Champions from grades nine through eleven, as well as the CWOSSA Champions during that same time period.
She's also won numerous awards while playing with St. John's College, and recently received the Paul Mitchel Award for her contributions to the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO). Danielle also loves to play volleyball, and has won the BCSSA in grades nine and ten for the sport.
Prepping for university isn't easy and takes a lot of time, but Danielle manages to play on both the senior girls' team for her school as well as rep ball with the Kitchener-Waterloo Lightning's junior girls team. Always one to help out, this 17-year-old is currently the manager of the senior boys basketball team at St. John's College and has been coaching a CYO house league team (girls division) for roughly three years.
Danielle is proud to be this week's athlete of the week, and is planning on maintaining her above-80 per cent average to help her cruise into the university of her choice next year. She plans on playing basketball at the university level, and is keeping her future bright, open, and full of possibilities.
Congratulations Danielle, and good luck! |
