Dan Mitchell - July 3, 2008
Dan Mitchell is an eighteen-year-old grade 12 graduate of Paris District High School who is actively involved in softball and participates in hockey, baseball and golf.
Dan has been involved in baseball and hockey for 13 years and over the years has received numerous Most Valuable Player awards for baseball and hockey.
He played for the Burford Bulldogs D hockey team, the Jr. A Hockey Club in Sturgeon Falls, and the Jr. A Nippissing Allouettes hockey team in 2007. He is a member of the Paris Midget rep fastball team and played on his high school baseball team.
Dan is attending a training camp in Vancouver, B.C. preparing to play for the Team Canada Jr. Men’s National Softball team in Whitehorse. He plays both shortstop and is a pitcher for Team Canada.
Over the years Dan has helped coach a number of Paris hockey and baseball teams. He is a dedicated and hardworking student who achieved a 70+ average in grade 12.
Dan plans to continue playing softball and hockey at a competitive level and pursue a career as a firefighter.
