| 2008-2009 DC Background Study
In accordance with the requirements of the Development Charges Act, 1997, the City’s current development charges bylaw is in force and effect for a period of five years. This requires that a new development charges background study be completed and a new bylaw approved by City Council by May 2009. |

The purpose of the Transportation Master Plan Update is to review the transportation need of Brantford for the next 25 years, based on updated forecasts of future growth, and the changes to transportation patterns and infrastructure that have occurred since 1997. |

In 2005 City Council commissioned a joint study by two consulting firms, MHBC Planning and EarthTech, to study strategic future growth directions for the City of Brantford. |

| West of Conklin Secondary Planning Study
The City of Brantford has initiated a SECONDARY PLANNING STUDY for SOUTHWEST BRANTFORD, an area of approximately 400 hectares, located west of Conklin Road on both sides of Shellard Lane. |
