Chad Marshall - March 8, 2007
Chad Marshall is a seventeen-year-old grade 12 student at Paris District High School who celebrates his 18 th birthday tomorrow. He is currently involved in several sports including baseball, volleyball, and badminton. He also participated in hockey, track and field, rugby and cross-country.
Chad has received numerous awards over the years including the 2005 Inter-County Baseball Senior Player of the Year, the 2005 Ontario Volleyball Association MVP, the 2005 Junior Athlete of the Year, and the 2006 Inter County Terriers MVP Gold Glove award.
Chad was a member of the Inter-County Terriers team that won the 18 and under Sandlott World Series in Nashville, Tennessee in 2006, he was a member of Team Ontario that won gold at the Canada Cup in Medicine Hat, Alberta in 2006, he was a member of the Ontario Minor Hockey Provincial Champions playing for Paris in 2002/03 and was a member of the Ontario Baseball Association Championships team in 2004.
Chad currently helps coach for the Paris Minor Baseball Association and was a coach for Paris Minor Hockey Association. He was a member of his school’s Student Council in grade 9 and is currently a member of the Athletic Council. He is a dedicated and hardworking student who was on the honor role in grades 9 and 10 and currently maintains an 80% average.
Next year Chad plans to attend Stony Brook University in Long Island New York, his goals are to achieve academic honors in the Health Science Program, athletically his goals are to be chosen Rookie of the Year in the American East Conference, and his ultimate dream is to be drafted by a Major League Baseball team.
