Carly Hansen - April 19, 2007
Carly Hansen is a seventeen-year-old grade 12 student who attends Paris District High School and has been actively involved in a variety of sports including volleyball, soccer, ringette, track and field and Highland dance.
She is a member of the Paris District high school volleyball team and has been involved with the Brant Youth Volleyball Club for 5 years; she played on her school’s soccer teams and was a member of the Paris Soccer Club for 9 years; she was actively involved with Paris Ringette for 3 years and Highland dance for 8 years.
Carly won the Brant Youth Volleyball Coaches Award in 2005/06 and received the 2003/04 Most Dedicated Player Award for volleyball at Paris District High School. She received the 2005/06 Coaches Award at Paris District High School for soccer; she won the 2003/04 Elizabeth Janssen Memorial Award for sportsmanship and won a Highland Dance bronze medallion.
Carly also represented Canada at the 2004 International Children’s Games in volleyball.
She is an active member of her school’s Athletic Committee and has been on the honor role since she started high school.
Carly plans to continue her education at Fanshawe College this fall pursuing a career in fashion merchandising, and she hopes to play on the Fanshawe College volleyball team.
