Brittany Goodbrand - July 24, 2008
Brittany Goodbrand is a seventeen-year-old grade 12 graduate of North Park Collegiate who has participated in fast pitch for 14 years; basketball for 8 years; hockey for 4 years, and has been a member of her high school basketball and hockey teams since grade 9.
She received several athletic awards for fast pitch and hockey while attending NPC including the 2008 Most Valuable Player for both hockey and fast pitch. She helped her fast pitch team win the 2007 Silver Provincial Qualifiers; she is captain of the Ancaster Blizzard Midget Tier 1 softball team and plays left field.
Brittany was an umpire with the Brantford Minor Softball Association for four years; she was actively involved at her school on the Athletic Society, Student’s Council and the Athletic Banquet planning committee. She is head coach of a BMSA Timbit t-ball team; she is a camp counselor at the Brantford basketball camp and works part-time at Dairy Queen.
Brittany has been an honor roll student since grade 9 and will be returning to North Park for a fifth year this fall. In the future she plans to attend university take Kinesiology and pursue a career in sports medicine.
