Brendan Linesman - May 4, 2006
Brendan Linesman is a sixteen-year-old, grade 11 student at Brantford Collegiate Institute who participates in a variety of sports including hockey, rugby, soccer, track and field, badminton and golf.
Brendan has been involved in hockey for the past 13 years and was part of two Brantford Minor hockey teams that won provincial championships in 2001 and 2005.
He has played soccer for 12 years, track and field for 7 years, badminton & rugby for 2 years and golf for 3 years. He won the midget boys discus OFSAA in 2004, played on the BCI midget and junior boys' rugby All Ontario Barbarian Cup teams, and won the MVP award for the midget boys' rugby team in 2004.
Brendan also broke two long-standing discus records as a junior at BCI in 2005, he got a hole in one on the 5th hole at Northridge in 2005, and won several badminton titles as an elementary student at Ecole Fairview.
He participated in the Relay for Life and the 30-hour famine event and volunteers through sports whenever called upon.
Brendan maintains a B+ average and is very interested in science, specifically chemistry. In the future he hopes to play hockey at the highest level possible and continue playing rugby, discus and golf.
