Brendan Schleifer - August 20, 2009
Brendan Schleifer is an eighteen-year-old grade 12 graduate of Brantford Collegiate Institute who will be returning to BCI in September to complete a music co-op program. He has been actively involved in baseball for the past 14 years playing for Brantford Minor Baseball. This will be his last season with BMB and he hopes to continue playing baseball possibly in Hamilton next year.
Brendan currently plays for the Brantford Red Sox AA team, excels in pitching and is also an excellent first baseman and third baseman. He is a great source of encouragement to his fellow players and is always ready to congratulate, encourage and assist other members of his team. He won an MVP award at a tournament this summer.
He also enjoys music and has been playing guitar, bass and electric, for five years. Last year his band the Skytremors, placed 2nd in the Battle of the Bands at BCI.
Brendan is a dedicated and hardworking student who maintains good marks and was recognized for his Geofair project last year. In the future he hopes to further his education in a music program at Fanshawe College or Mohawk College, pursue a career as a music teacher or session musician, and play varsity baseball.
