BRANTFORD AND AREA SPORTS HALL OF RECOGNITION

Discover the achievements of some of Brantford and Brant County’s finest athletes along with those who have contributed towards the pursuit of sporting excellence. Your tour of this area’s own “hall of fame” will be an enlightening experience, providing insight into the hard work, perseverance and talent that has led over 60 individuals to the highest achievement levels of their sport.

Don’t miss seeing Wayne Gretzky’s Lady Byng and Seagrams’ Trophies, his Hart trophy, Molson Cups… even his All-Star hockey stick! You’ll find Doug Risebrough’s Stanley Cup; Rick Mannen’s running trophies and banners; Enos Williams’ handmade lacrosse stick; Al Moffat’s Hamilton Tiger Cats jersey and helmet; plus pictures, ribbons, articles and more. Displays change throughout the year.

The artifacts are on loan from inductees, their families and friends, and you will find an eclectic collection of sporting equipment and uniforms, trophies and awards, photographs and memorabilia that will help tell stories of great accomplishments. Exhibits at the hall are changed approximately every six months, showcasing 28 different members at a time. 0n permanent display is an excellent collection from Brantford’s own, “The Great One” – Wayne Gretzky, including his Los Angeles Kings jersey.

Whether you are a local resident or a visitor, your tour will leave you with a true appreciation for the individuals that have given their all to reach their goals!
