Anastasia Scherders - April 26, 2007
Anastasia Scherders is an eighteen-year-old graduate of North Park Collegiate who has been involved in several sports over the years including soccer, gymnastics, and tennis.
She has been a member of the Brantford Youth Soccer League since she was 5 years old and was actively involved in gymnastics from the ages of 6 to 12, including two years at the high school level.
In 2006 Anastasia won the gymnastics gold level 2 bars at OFSAA and won the Most Improved Gymnast award; she also contributed to her soccer team becoming the playoff finalists in 2006.
She was the assistant coach of the North Park gymnastics team and graduated with an 83 % average.
Anastasia stays healthy by participating in a variety of activities like kayaking, bike riding, hiking, skiing, and rock climbing.
She plans to attend college for business in the fall and later attend university for environmental studies; she also hopes to play varsity soccer at university.
