Amy is a badminton player with the Brantford Junior Badminton Club and has been playing competitively for the past three years. In the 2003/2004 season, she garnered a triple crown (first place in singles, doubles and mixed) in the girls under 14 category at the Niagara Falls Tournament. There she also placed first in the girls under 16 doubles and mixed doubles, and third in the singles.

Just recently, Amy also placed third in the consolation round in the under 16 provincial mixed doubles.
In the 2003 Niagara Falls Tournament, Amy had excellent top-three standings in the doubles, mixed and singles. Similarly, at the 2002/2003 WOBA junior championships, this terrific player placed first in the mixed doubles and second in the girls' doubles.
Amy has attended many other tournaments and competitions - she has succeeded in placing often among the top three showing an outstanding exuberance for the sport. She has also played badminton with her school team, along with helping to coach.
Amy's interest in sports is not limited to badminton; she is often very busy playing on the soccer, basketball and volleyball teams at school. Outside of school Amy has been involved in volleyball, bowling and baseball. She has a second place win in the girls bantam division at the provincial bowling championships.
