Amie Donkers - March 15, 2007
Amie Donkers is a seventeen-year-old grade 12 student at Assumption College who is involved in several sports including volleyball, rugby, tennis and track and field.
Amie has received several special awards including the 2006 Senior Girls Athlete of the Year, the 2005 Junior Girls Volleyball Most Valuable Player award, the 2004 Junior Girls Athlete of the Year, and the 2004 Most Valuable Player awards in midget volleyball and basketball.
Amie is a member of the Brant Tornadoes volleyball team that plays in the Ontario Volleyball Association, she is a member of the junior harlequins rugby team, and was a member of the volleyball team that participated at the 2004 International Children’s Games.
She was a volunteer with the Assumption Fashion Show, the Pennies from Heaven, and the Relay for Life. She helps coach an elementary school girls volleyball team, she helped with the volleyball club winter camp, and enjoys working with children at the Boys and Girls Club and at the Five Oaks Camp in the summer.
Amie has been on the honor role every year since she started high school and hopes to become a Fashion Designer and play volleyball in college.
