Alex Saint - December 12, 2002
The Tournament Capital of Ontario "Athlete of the Week" is Alex Saint a 13 year-old grade 8 student from Branbury Heights Public School who participates in several different sports. Alex has been involved with Brantford Minor Hockey for the past nine years, plays centre and recently scored three goals at a Twin Cities tournament.
He has also played soccer for the past nine years and this season was part of a travelling team. Alex has played several school sports over the years including baseball, volleyball, badminton, soccer and basketball. He ran in the Brantford Classic 10K race with his school relay team and they won 3rd place. Alex plays Briers basketball, Rolling Thunder Inline hockey and enjoys travelling to Lake Forest, Illinois to watch his older brother play hockey.
Alex enjoys volunteering and has been involved with Truckfest in Paris, the Haunted Hayride, helped umpire school baseball games and refereed intramural soccer. He works very hard to balance both sports and school work and academically achieved an 85% average this past term.
