Adriana Gamble - September 18, 2008
Adriana Gamble is a sixteen-year-old grade 11 student from Paris District High School who has been actively involved in volleyball for 3 years, badminton for 5 years, tennis for 1 year, basketball for 1 year and golf for 5 years.
She played league and rep baseball for 6 years, and has been a member of the Burford Golf Links for 4 years.
Adriana has received several team and individual awards over the years including the 2006 Brant County Badminton Gold medal in girls doubles, the 2005 Brant County Silver medal in girls doubles, the 2004 Brant County Bronze medal in girls doubles, the 2008 Brant County Secondary School Athletic Association Champion continuing on to compete at CWOSSA and received the Paris District High School Junior Badminton Most Outstanding Player award.
Adriana won the Brant County Junior Girls Golf Championship in grade 8; she received the 2008 Junior Girl's Coach's Award for basketball; she won the 2007 Volleyball Junior Girls MVP award and the 2008 Junior Girls Coach's Award. She also received the 2006 Bethel Queens Ward Elementary School Girls Athletic Award and the 2008 PDHS Junior Girls Athlete of the Year award.
She was a member of Paris District Athletic Council, she helped with school fundraising and sporting events and volunteered at the Paris Softball Association concession stand.
Adriana won the Student of the Year Award and the Principals Award for leadership in grade 8 at the Bethel Queens Ward Elementary School and has been on the honor role at Paris District High School for both grades 9 and 10 with an 86% average.
In the future Adriana hopes to remain on the honor role throughout high school while participating on various sports teams, then on to University where she will study to become a teacher and participate in school athletics.
