Aaron Carpenter - October 25, 2001
This week's TCO "Athlete of the Week" is Aaron Carpenter an OAC student at Brantford Collegiate and a member of the BCI Mustangs Rugby team who won the OFSSA Championships in 2001. He is also a part of the Harlequins Rugby team, and the Rugby Ontario Junior Rep team, playing with all 3 organizations for the last 4 years. As a member of Rugby Ontario, Aaron helped his team win a silver medal at the 2000 National Men's U18 Championships in Edmonton, Alberta and a silver medal at the 2001 Canada Summer Games in London this past summer. He has been invited to attend the Rugby Canada U19 Winter Camp in British Columbia this December and if chosen will be part of the 2002 Rugby Team World Junior Championships held in Venice, Italy in March 2002.
Aaron has also been a member of the BCI Mustangs football team, as a running back, for the past 3 years. He enjoys playing badminton and tennis and in grade 12 maintained an average of 80%. Aaron is looking forward to studying Kinesilogy at University next year and playing rugby at a National and International level.
